Yes, the Women's League is called U.S.A.L.S.O. and is not affiliated with SBPSL. The league is located in the South Bay / LAX area. To find out more information, please visit the web site at www.USALSO.com.

The SBPSL has restricted the number of teams in the SBPSL league based on the league's ability to get permits for the fields, and the players desires to limit the amount of travel on Sunday mornings.

The SBPSL maintains a waiting list of teams that are interested in joining the SBPSL. Should a team drop out of the SBPSL, the board may decide to replace that team with a team on the waiting list. Adding a new team is at the discretion of the board.

The most likely way for another team to join the league would be for that team to provide the following:

a) a quality field each year to play on from approximately September through June.

b) the ability for that field to support games on Sunday mornings every weekend (even if your team is playing 'away' at a different field).

c) the field should be located approximately in the south bay, as most players reside in that area.

Each May, the SBPSL board evaluates the upcoming season. Please contact the board via the web site sbpsl@bwe.net by April if you think there might be a good fit for the upcoming season. The league meets each May, and things of this nature are discussed.

All cards (obtained through SBPSL) do not expire and can be used indefinitely.

How to Get a SBPSL Card

Everybody must have an SBPS players card. To obtain a card, follow the instructions below:

1. Get the OK of a team manager to join his team and get him to assist with the items below.
2. Download, print and fill out the SBPSL Player Release Form.
3. Take a digital picture of player.
4. Take a digital picture of player's drivers license.
5. You need to provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19
6. Send email to duncan.wain@zoodigital.com (for 50's Div) and luis@mistocaffe.com
   requesting a new player card. If the player has played for another team in the league and has a current player card, include the email of that team manager.
7. Retrieve the player card from that manager and return to Luis.
8. E-mail these 2 pictures to luis@mistocaffe.com and Brad@camlox.com
9. Write a $10 check out to SBPSL

If a new player in league you need to get all info in by Wednesday noon in order to get the card back in time for the next Sunday game. If the player is transferring from another team in the league, upon receipt of the old player card the player will need to sit out for two games before receiving the new player card.

Fees vary by team. Once you find a team to play on, the manager will notify you of any fees that may apply.

Go to the Registration page and submit your information. Team managers check this list regularly when looking for new talent.

You can also visit practices or games and talk to the team managers - they will let you know if they are recruiting and which teams may be looking for players. The managers contact information is listed at the top of the schedules.

Teams of all divisions have the ability to add and drop players throughout the year. There is a limit to the number of players on the active roster, but not a limit to the number of players added or dropped in a season.

The South Bay Peninsula Soccer League is the biggest and best adult men's soccer league in Southern California. For over 45 years we have organized a non-profit league for competitive amateur and recreational soccer players who reside in the South Bay and Palos Verdes Peninsula.

The league was founded in 1972 to teach soccer fundamentals to non-soccer playing parents who coached their kids youth teams. The increasing popularity of soccer is reflected by the growth of our league. Today we have about 28 teams and 700 players participating each week. Teams from our league also compete in, and quite often win, regional, national, and international tournaments.

Our league has three divisions. Premier has a minimum age of 18 restriction. Division 50 is for those born in 1969 or earlier. Division 60 is for those born in 1959 or earlier.

SBPSL soccer is active year round. Fall Season typically runs from Mid September through January. Spring Season runs from February through June. Summer Season (optional) runs from July through August. The majority of games are played on Sunday mornings at 10 am.

This depends on your playing ability, age, and the level at which you want to play. All SBPSL players must be 18 or over.

Premier Division is for anyone 18 years or older. Division 48 is for those born in 1973 or earlier. Division 58 is for those born in 1963 or earlier.

You are eligible to play on January 1st of the year you are eligible.
